I loved this book。 It was a little age-inappropriate for me， but I loved the concepts and characters。 I was so amazing to see them all grow， especially Sansa， who I think was a little too much of a push-over at the beginning。 I loved the twists and the ending， although at the start of the book it was a little confusing because it kept introducing new characters。 All in all， amazing and I highly recommend :）

An incredible book。 I’m glad I’d seen the TV show， so many characters， so much going on， it was a help to be able to picture the cast as I read。 I really liked the way the book concentrated each chapter on one particular character at a time。 I can’t really say much else， it was a brilliant read！

3。5 stars。 The things I've been told about this book were true: the worldbuilding is fantastic。 The characters （for the most part） are splendid。 But this is a mountain of a book， and I am exhausted。 I'll be continuing on with the series someday， but that's going to be a long ways off because this book just went on and on and on。 Was everything relevant？ Yes。 In such a broad epoch， there's a lot of backstory that comes with it。 Everything holds weight here， some things weigh more than others， but 3。5 stars。 The things I've been told about this book were true: the worldbuilding is fantastic。 The characters （for the most part） are splendid。 But this is a mountain of a book， and I am exhausted。 I'll be continuing on with the series someday， but that's going to be a long ways off because this book just went on and on and on。 Was everything relevant？ Yes。 In such a broad epoch， there's a lot of backstory that comes with it。 Everything holds weight here， some things weigh more than others， but there is some substance to everything jam-packed into this book。 Reading something this long and detailed is good for the soul once in a while， since it at least challenges the reader to see just how long and well they can pay attention-- even if all you want are bragging rights afterward。 In concern of the more。。。unsavory aspects embedded into the story （and I'm not even talking about the rape or graphic carnage） that did test my patience a bit。 Coding is something every writer has to deal with and not something they can really plan for。 It's something that happens without the writer even knowing it's happening。 Does that excuse the portrayal of POC found in this book？ No！ Does that erase all the exploitation？ Not a bit！ Did that affect my enjoyment of the story？ Yes。 As I said before， this book （the entire series really） is a mountain; a jagged， unforgiving， massive thing daring people to overcome the challenge of its existence。 I'm not sorry I read it， but I'm also happy I won。。。for the time being。 We'll see how I feel when I go for round two with the second book in the series a few months （okay probably more like a year） from now。 。。。more

Where to start with this phenomenal book？ I know you’ve probably heard it all before but I cannot emphasise how much I was missing out on！ I was originally quite intimidated by the series as I heard it was too hard to follow and I’m known to randomly forget things。 But in fact it was quite the opposite， the first few page I was sucked into a magical realm that was impossible to leave。 Yes， of course I did get characters confused a few times as there were a few double ups of characters with the s Where to start with this phenomenal book？ I know you’ve probably heard it all before but I cannot emphasise how much I was missing out on！ I was originally quite intimidated by the series as I heard it was too hard to follow and I’m known to randomly forget things。 But in fact it was quite the opposite， the first few page I was sucked into a magical realm that was impossible to leave。 Yes， of course I did get characters confused a few times as there were a few double ups of characters with the same names。 I understand that it’s an immensely filled world but I feel like clarifying e。g John the 6th or whatever would’ve clarified things since even with surnames included there was bound to be another。 Holy shit I was waiting for Daenery’s rise and I was not disappointed！ It was built up and foreshadowed throughout the books perfectly but still left me completely shocked after reading the ending。 Can we just talk about George Martin’s writing？ There is just something so great about his writing that sweeps anyone away to his fictional world， his writing is so vivid I cannot put it in words。 The betrayals， I can only imagine what the next book is going to be like there are so many twists that shocked me and I had to reread if it really happened！ All the characters were written so well my favourite characters have to be （so far） Tyrion Lannister， Arya Stark and Jon Snow。 The only reason I am not rating this five stars as of the naming issues， general confusion occasionally and being a slow written book。 。。。more

Dawno nie byłem tak zmęczony książką。 Udało mi się nie odbić po raz trzeci， ale łatwo nie było。 Kilka fantastycznych momentów w 800 stronach naprawdę rozciągniętej i mało ciekawej narracji to wyzwanie。 No nic， może następna będzie lepsza， ale potrzebuję dłuższej przerwy。

Spannend von Anfang bis Ende。 Eine unglaubliche Leistung des Autors！Dutzende Figuren werden vorgestellt und miteinander in Beziehung gebracht und dabei bleibt trotzdem alles glaubhaft， authentisch und nachvollziehbar。 Ein kreatives und bildhaft beschriebenes Worldbuilding schafft es über die gesamte Länge， den Leser in die Welt hineinzuziehen。Nur zu empfehlen！ Meiner Meinung nach， wenn irgendmöglich in der Originalsprache Englisch。
